Without picking up your phone and searching on Google, what comes to your mind when you think of the word “holy?”
My definition of holiness has evolved over the years. When I was a young girl growing up in Alabama, I believed holy was about staying in church all day, shouting and singing, praying until you got tired, and wearing long dresses and no make-up. Believe it or not, that’s what was modeled around me.
No one ever sat me down and explained to me what God meant when he told us to “be holy.” In the video below, I share with couples what it means to have a marriage that is holy. It’s worth taking a peek because being holy is not about being religious or boring.
